The Best A Place In The Sun Show Ever!!!

The Best A Place In The Sun Show Ever!!!

According to TheMoveChannel, last weekends A Place In The Sun Live, held at the NEC in Birmingham, was the busiest show ever, confirming that the demand for overseas property is back

The article, published today states :

“Overseas property has taken a long time coming back from the financial crisis, but with several countries in Europe enjoying stabilising prices and rising demand, this year has marked a turnaround in interest.

Traffic to TheMoveChannel.com soared 45.4 per cent in the two months to September 2014 compared to the two months to July 2014, highlighting the returning demand for overseas property among buyers. A Place in the Sun Live anticipated a similar surge in interest, selling out of stands in advance of the show for the first time since 2007.

Managing Director Andy Bridge predicted they would receive 5,500 visitors across the three days. The event, though, exceeded expectations: a total of 6,536 people visited the exhibition between Friday 3rd and Sunday 5th October, a third more than last year’s NEC show and 400 up on London’s show earlier this year.

“With 30 fewer stands than London, this weekend’s exhibitors benefitted from a very strong visitor to stand ratio,” Andy Bridge tells TheMoveChannel.com.

Representatives from lead generation firm Lead Galaxy, who attended the event, confirm that it was a success.

“Friday is typically a quieter day for vendors,” says Blake Montague, who visited the exhibition on the first day, “but the feedback from the vendors was that there were already plenty of buyers.”

“There were sales and plenty of deposits being made,” he adds.

The Overseas Guides Company agrees that appetite for owning an overseas home has surged in the second half of 2014, labelling this weekend’s show as their “best ever”.”

With 3 stands at the show, Chris White the CEO and Founder of Ideal Homes Portugal had anticipated the increase in volume and was not disappointed with the volume of clients he saw.

“We saw over 250 clients over the course of the weekend and have booked a lot of people to come to the Algarve on an Inspection Visit to buy property. We have known for sometime that the demand for property in the Algarve was rising rapidly, which was why I booked 3 stands instead of my usual 2. We are very happy with the volume and standard of clients that we saw over the weekend and look forward to seeing them again in the Algarve on their Inspection Visits. With the pound being so strong and property still being undervalued in the Algarve, now is a great time to buy and it seems that people know that. The time is right for people who have been thinking about for years to realise their dream of a home in the sun.”

For anyone who couldn’t make it to A Place in the Sun all is not lost! There are still 3 more shows to go in the Overseas Property Show roadshow that has been taking place all over the country since September. The next is in Manchester 10th-13th October, then 2 more to follow in Newmarket and Aberdeen.
